23" Series 790 Channel Balance
Replacing both window balances at the same time prevents extra wear-and-tear to the new balance, which will have to work twice as hard when paired with an old balance.

This series 790 channel balance also known as a block and tackle balance has a 23" long metal channel and is for a tilt window. The channel's width measures 9/16" but is considered 1/2" in the trade. This balance comes fully assembled with a 15-014 shoe attached. To install the balance into the window, remove sash, screw or hook channel balance on the top of the window jamb. With a pair of pliers, pull down the shoe, about 12", and lock the string with a pair of locking pliers. With the tension off you can install the shoe into the window track.
