The 82-003 includes both the interior and exterior handle. The lock is a safety latch that you can use to lock the sliding glass door from the interior. If you need a key lock, so you can lock and unlock your sliding glass door from the exterior you need to purchase the 82-301 key lock along with the 82-003 handle set.
