How to cover the mail slot hole

We are doing away with our door mail slot and need to find a blank plate to fit over the hole in the door. Do you have any suggerstions?

We do not have a mail slot blank. A possible fix could be a brass kick plate to cover the door bottom and overlap the mail slot hole, try your local hardware store for a source.
