Is the Thorn Window crank available in other colors?

Can the plastic coating be painted? And any recommendation on product to use? Brown will not work for me, and this is the exact replacement part, other than my originals are metal.

The 39-004 Thorn window crank is not plastic, it is metal and is made in the USA. Currently, the 39-004 window crank is only available in the color brown.

It may be metal, but the brown part is a plastic coating, isn't it? I bought a paint specifically for plastic and it is working for me.
