WE HAVE RECENTLY PURCHASED A HOME WITH ALUM REPLACEMENT WINDOWS. OVER TIME, MOST OF THE PLASTIC PIVOT LOCK SHOES INSIDE THE CHANNELS OF THE DOUBLE HUNG TILT WINDOWS HAVE BROKEN INTO PIECES. I SEE SIMILAR ITEMS ON YOUR WEBSITE AND WILL MEASURE TO TRY TO MATCH SOMETHING UP WITH AN UNBROKEN ONE. CAN YOU OFFER ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR EASE OF REPLACEMENT? I'M STUMPED AT HOW TO GET THE REPLACEMENTS BACK INTO THE CHANNELS WITHOUT TAKING THE ENTIRE WINDOW OUT. THANK YOU, IN ADVANCE, FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE.

To remove/replace pivot lock shoes
For lower/inner sash there should be a cut out at the top of master-frame, it may be behind the sash stop, if not cut to slide the pivot lock shoe out/in.
For upper/exterior sash there should be a cut out at bottom of master frame, it may be behind the sash stop, if not cut to slide the pivot lock shoe out/in.
