What is the recess or depth to the lift? How strong is the plastic? Does it come with white screws?

The 26-116, window sash lift, measures 3/4" in height. I do not have a rating for the strength. Installation screws are not included.

How deep is the lift when you put your fingers into it? Will I be able to lift the window without breaking the lifts? I ask this because the ones that I now have original installation break over time. What is dimension from the near end of the lift to the hole?

Your sash lift handles may be breaking due to broken or old window sash support balances. If your windows feel heavy or tight when you lift up the sash you may need to adjust or replace your window sash support balances.
