White nylon top tilt latch, left handed. Fastenerless snap-in design, installs by sliding into the side of the sash and snapping in. No need to take window apart to do this.

This looks like the tilt latch that I broke on the bottom sash of one of my windows. Does this part come with instructions on how to remove the old latch and install the new one?

This top latch slides into the top side of window and it has small teeth that helps lock it in. Try using a flat point screw driver and small hammer to gently tap it out of the window. BE CAREFULL NOT TO CRACK THE VINYL FRAME OF THE WINDOW OR THE GLASS.
