I am rescreening my front door with a thicker screening is there a thinner size spline or do I just use the same size

Good question. The foam type spline available in the spline category section compresses and the same thickness foam spline should fit fine. For the Forever storm door rigid screen spline 55-109, you will not be able to use a thicker screen mesh. You will have use the standard fiberglass screen mesh or thinner such as the no-see um screen mesh.

Would flat screen glazing spline (59-241) work as an alternative to allow the use thicker pet resistant type screen on a Forever storm door insert? 59-241 appears to be 1/16 thinner than 55-109, I'm thinking this should allow for a thicker screen.

I do not believe it is possible to install the pet screen into a Forever door screen insert. The flat spline that fits into the insert is made only for regular fiberglass screen mesh.

I have had no luck in getting a thicket screen in the forever inserts, I have tried aluminum, pet proof and there is just no way to get a spline to hold If any one has a good fix let me know Don from Island screen&glass service company
