I have ordered a 80-103 track cover to repair a damaged track in a patio door of unknown manufacturer. Should I file or otherwise modify the damaged portion before installing the cover?

SWISCO product code 80-103, Small Track Cover, should snap onto the top portion of the track. If the existing track is very worn you may want to apply a couple inches of silicone into the track cover at each end to prevent the cover from lifting up at ends. Or by crimping the ends only with a vise grip after installation, this will help the track cover stay on. Yes, you should file if any part of the track is bent out-wards the line.

Does this track cover fit all anderson window sill track ribs?

I am not sure. However, take a look at the 80-100 replacement track cover, it is taller and may be a better match for your track. You will need to compare the track covers to your existing patio door track.
