SWISCO product 26-219, vent lock, is a replacement part, not for new application. See product code 26-349 for a vent lock created for new application in vinyl windows.

Can the Swisco vent lock, product 26-219, be installed into an opening that is about 1-1/32x3/16?And will it work in a slider window? Or would the sash stop, product 26-338 work better?

Both the 26-219 and the 26-338 vent locks are for use on a double hung window. I have never heard of anyone using these for a sliding window, so I do not know if they would work for your application.
