10-102 oval ball bearing wheel

A home owner from NEW YORK says:
I have changed both wheels in one door that fell off. My question is: do I put the screw on the side with the metal protruding or on the flat side? Which side should be in the rail? (I only have one door so I can not see the other for guidance.
Also, whay is ball bearing? When the wheels came off in my door, I found a lot of small metal balls inside the railing. Did they come off the old wheel? What are these? should wheels be rolling on top of these?

Thanks for posting. Usually, you want to put the screw on the side where the metal protrudes. As for the metal balls, they are probably just the bearings from your old wheel.
