Thanks for posting! Would you be able to show us what was attached to the other end of the balance? The screw tab helps, but I suspect there was a shoe something at the other end. That would be a huge help. I'd also like to know the weight of the window sash these balances support. Thanks!

Wow, 40 pounds is very heavy. I think we can replace it, though it will need to be custom made. with a special 21I stamp. This can carry sashes weighing 37 through 40 pounds. Can you just confirm the length of the metal channel? I want to be 100% sure it's 21" long. If so, I've emailed you a custom order link for 5 of these. This includes a price quote, and you can use it to add the special balance to your cart as if it were any standard product. Let me know if the channel isn't 21" long, though, and we can work from there.
