30" sash channel balance tubular type

A professional from Oro valley, AZ 85755 says:
Looking for a few ( to start) 30 sash channel balance tubular type replacements. Must have "U" shaped hook on exposed end to work in the system we have here at Sun City Vistoso in Tucson -- they built almost 2500 homes using this system, and we can't find parts. I am a Realtor living in the community for 23 years. (Specs were given me by a window specialist). Thanks.

Good morning, Bob.

To get started, remove one of the balances from the window. Les us know the length of the tube portion only, and the diameter of the tube. Then, take a few photos of the balance(s) and upload them so we can take a look.

Are there any stamps on the balances?
A professional from Oro Valley, Arizona says:
Good morning Paul,

The balance is 29" long, and as close as I can measure is 3/8" in diameter. There are no numerical markings on it. It has a hook on one end. I will attempt to attach pictures I took this morning to this email.
Thanks Bob

Bob, with the information you've provided, it appears you'll need the Swisco Series 900 Spiral Balance with the 15-073 Sash Carrier Bracket.

Thanks for the help so far. I have learned a lot. There is no color coding on the balance that I had removed. The window measures about 5' square -- so the movable part is about 2.5 feet high and 5' wide. I seems to be a heavy window. What color code would you suggest? Also. The one I have has the hook attached to the spring with a rivet. If I buy two new tubes, with your suggested lifting strength and hooks, can you attach the hooks to the springs?

Thanks, Bob

Bob, if you're unsure of what color option to select, remove the sash and place it on a scale. Report back to us with the sash weight and we'll be able to offer a color recommendation.
A professional from Oro Valley,AZ says:
Paul,

The window installer I had remove the sash to get at the the sample channel balance, says it weighs in the nieghborhood of 15 lbs, but not more than 20 lbs. Hope this helps. I see that you also sell rivets at 11 cents each.

So with this info, can i make an order for two channel balances plus hooks and rivets and tin the proper strength of handle the sash?

Thanks Bob

The Series 900 Spiral Balance with red tip option will support an approximate sash weight of up to 22 lbs.
