4-6" Pivot Bar?

A handy person from St. Louis says:
Hi, the bottom of my window where the pivot bar attaches has cracked off and doesn't allow for any connection of the bar anymore. I was hoping that you might have a longer pivot bar so that I can attach it further in on the window where there is still a place to attach it. Have you come across this issue or do you have a way that I can get a pivot bar to work?

You have a very badly damaged vinyl sash and I'm not sure if there will be a solution like you describe. I recommend going back to the manufacturer or supplier who gave you the window and seeing if they can get you a new sash.

If not, you might be able to repair the window sash with something like our 26-395. You will have to do some cutting to fit this piece in and maybe use some epoxy to lock it in and fill the hole, but even then I cannot guarantee that it will work.
