40-089 replacement to Pado lock

A landlord from Memphis says:
Will the 40-089 fit in the old cylinder hole in the original Pado mortise lock set? I lost the keys to a set of storm doors and this seems to be a good way to replace just the lock instead of buying a new mortise set. What are your thoughts?

No, I don't believe ours will work for you. The 40-089 is oval shaped, while yours is more rectangular. To be honest, your best bet may be to contact a local locksmith. Sometimes they can drill out the pins and re-key the cylinder. If not, you could consider our 40-049 handle set.
