Alcan Double storm glass window

Its a Alcan Double stormglass window. The black plastic broke. Its 1 inch wide and 35.5 long. When i take the window out it goes in first. Then the window can slide.

Our 55-072 is similar to yours. The width is 1-5/16", not 1", but since it's vinyl you could consider trimming it down. What do you think? Would this work for you?
