A quick learner from North Carolina says:

I have some windows that match your 770 series balances that are marked 34A. I do not see "A" as an option when ordering them on the website. Can you help me with this issue?

We could custom make a balance with the 34A option. However, before we do, I'd like you to confirm that your window sash weight matches the strength of this option. Two balances with the 34A option can carry a window sash weight of 11 through 16 pounds.

The balances referenced above weigh 14.2 pounds. Do I need a custom channel balance for that weight or can I use a 34B.

No, 34B is too strong. A sash weight of 14.2 pounds falls comfortably in the weight range for the 34A spring and I recommend that you go that route.
