Broken catch in window

Thanks for posting. The part in your photo closely resembles our 26-017 spring retainer and 26-015 upper sash slide latch. See what you think. You may also need the 26-016 spring and 26-001 thumb lever, if yours are broken or missing.

I've also included a diagram to help you, which you can view on the right side of this page. When repairing, first remove the top sash from the window, unscrew the two top frame screws, then use a piece of wood and hammer to carefully knock off the top frame from the glass. Now you can get to the latch assembly. Remove the thumb lever and slide out the spring and broken latch from the side.
