Channel Balance

A home owner from Loomis, CA 95650 says:

Hi, it appears that I have something close to the 30" Series 380 Channel Balance with option 2930.

The house is around 10 years old. The markings on the channel balance are "29-3 CA2 CMC 4". I measure the channel balance (metal only) at 30" and a width of 1/2". The window weighs 20.2 lbs. I measure the shoe at a bit over 1.0"

I am looking to replace a few channel balances and clean/lubricate the rest. Do you have any recommendations for waxing the pulleys or oiling the wheels?

Is the "30" Series 380 Channel Balance with option 2930" the correct replacement part for these windows?

Hey, thanks for posting. I've narrowed this down to two possible channel balance Series: either our Series 380 or our Series 385 balances.

Now, as you can see, there is only one difference between these two Series, and that is their bottom shoe. The Series 380 uses the 15-005 while the Series 385 uses the 15-004. I can't quite tell what you have based on your pictures, though. Please carefully compare their dimensions to your own hardware and see which is a better match.

As for lubricating the old balances, try a silicone spray. We like this better than oil as it does not attract debris.
