Channel Balance Replacement, Marvin Window

A home owner from Shakopee, MN says:
Is it possible to "flex" guide open to remove and replace a 751 series channel balance? If so, I would rather not remove and replace wooden trim and not risk damaging it (I have 5 windows to fix).
Thanks,
Steve

Hey, Steve. Try this: tilt in and remove both the top and bottom sashes. With the sashes removed, you should be able to remove the jamb liners without the wood trims. They are not nailed on, but held in with pressure from the sashes. Then you would be able to remove and replace your Series 751 ribbed balances.

That worked.
Thanks,
Steve
