Our spiral balances do not come pre-charged, with the exception of our Series 880.

The charging tool makes it easier to turn the spiral so that you can charge up balance, keeping your sash in place. To see how the charging tools work, please refer to the following tutorial video on how to replace a tilt window spiral balance!
