The 40-032 has mounting holes that measure 1-1/2" installation hole center to center; the 40-033 has mounting holes that measure 1-3/4" installation hole center to center.

This is a picture of the 40-032 handle. The measurement from the top-lock hole to bottom-handle hole is 6". On the 40-033 handle, the measurement is 6-1/4".

I'm not sure what hardware Pacesetter storm doors used. Remove the current handle set from your door and try to match up the hole dimensions to one in our Storm Door Handle Set Catalog.

What is the projection of the interior handle on 40-032? The handle I have now hits the lockset of the wood door behind it and cannot close.

The inside handle projects inward approximately 1 3/4". Are you able to move the storm door handle up or down, away from the inside handle? Moving forward, you may also want to take a look at the Swisco 40-152 Pull Handle Set. You may be able to cover your existing holes with the back plates that come with this set.
