Door Handle replacement

A quick learner from Colorado says:
This is a photo of my door. The broken piece is obvious. Mid-screw to mid-screw is 4".

Can I replace only the broken piece, or do I need to buy both the in and out handles? Also, which part should I get?

Thanks!

Thanks for contacting us! Have you seen our 82-035 Patio Door Handle Set? This appears similar to your own hardware. Take a look and let me know what you think.
A quick learner from Colorado says:
Yes, it looks good. Should I worry about the 1/16th of an inch? Could my tape measure be inaccurate?

So, I would replace the whole handle unit?

Also, the lock (hook part that connects to frame when engaged) seemed to have an issue with contact. A repair man did work on it once. That benefit only lasted a few weeks. Now, I just put a rod in the jam. Any tips if I install the new one?

Yes, I think your measurement may be just a bit off. These handles usually come in 3-15/16". Just make sure when you measure that you're measuring from the screw hole centers.

As for the mortise lock, there are a few options that go with the 82-035. Take a look at our 82-214, 82-218, and 82-226 and see which of these match the lock inside your door.
