The one side that has the peg is screwed to the false panel. The other piece with the "U" shaped receiver has cut outs for the screw so you can adjust the piece to loosen or tighten the false panel against the cabinet frame.

I recommend using two per false front. For the screw, you should be able to use a #6 x 1/2" pan head screw.
