Having to apply more pressure on 39-346

A home owner from NC says:
I just installed the 39-346. It's a perfect fit. However, I have to give it a bit more pressure to fully close the glasses to make them meet up. I don't want to put undo stress on the handle. Is this normal?

A few things come to mind. First, try a spray lubricant like a silicone spray on the pivots of the louvers on the sides of the window. Your window could have been installed out of square and the operator has to fight to get the louvers closed. Lastly, check to see if the weather stripping (usually it is a bubble) in the sill or header is hard. It could be the glass is pressing up against it preventing the glass from closing.
