Help! Can't figure this out

A quick learner from Valencia, CA says:
I have 2 channel balances in need of replacement. The channel alone is 27" on one and the other is 9" and the channels are hemmed. I can't figure out the sash weight or what to order for the top and bottom. I see similar, but can't find that same top. Thank you in advance!

Hey, thanks for posting. That 9" balance will have to be custom made, since it's so small, but the 27" balance is pretty standard. Both seem to share the same Series at least, though I'm not sure exactly what.

I've narrowed it down to two possible Series: either our Series 380 or our Series 385 balances.

Now, as you can see, there is only one difference between these two Series, and that is their bottom shoe. The Series 380 uses the 15-005 while the Series 385 uses the 15-004. I can't quite tell what you have based on your pictures, though. Please carefully compare their dimensions to your own hardware and see which is a better match.

Once you've confirmed the Series, we can work from there.

Thank you so much! The bottom shoe is a 15-004. How can I go about knowing the sash weight? Thanks again for your help Tom!

Thank you! You can either match up the stamp to our list of options. Looks like your 27" balance has a stamp of 26 5, which usually corresponds to our 2650 option. You may want to weight the sash just to be sure, though.

As for the tiny balance, check out this Custom Channel Balance Request Form I've started for you based on your specifications and fill out the blank fields. One of our representatives will get back to you with a price quote and an item to add to your cart.
