Help removing 81-010 sliding door roller

A handy person from Florida says:
I am replacing my glass sliding door roller (Peco 81-010). The roller assembly has a "dimple" or "frame lock" on each side of it, and I'm not sure how to remove it from the door frame. Do I try and pry the frame open a little bit to get the roller assembly out, or is there some other way to do this?

Thanks

Good Morning,

Hopefully I can help you out. First, note that you have to pry both sides at the same time to get pass the "dimples." I usually use a chisel for this process. Place the chisel in the bottom rail of the door and twist it to spread the rail. This should allow you to slide out the old roller.

Now, this may not be the most effective way, but that's how I've always done it. If you don't have a chisel you may want to try a wood wedge.
