How do I release tilt latch to tilt window in?

A quick learner from Winifrede says:
I think the part I need to replace is 26-157 tilt latch. How do I get the window to tilt (get the broken latch to release) so I can tilt the window and replace the latch? Is there instructions on-line?

Thanks for posting. The 26-157 releases when you pull the lever back. There really isn't any special trick to it. In what way is your latch broken? If the lever is not intact, you will need to find a way to push it back somehow. Perhaps you can get in there with a screwdriver and push back on what remains of the lever.
