You will have to remove the top part of your sash, slide out the old latch and then slide in the new. When the top part of the sash is back in place, you will snap in the finger lever.

Thank you Paul. Do I just need to remove the 2 screws on each side of the sash to remove the top of the sash?

It depends on the sash, but that is what you have to do in some in stances, yes.
