I need help identifying my channel balance

A home owner from Montreal, Qc Canada says:
Good day,

I have included a picture for each sides. It is possible the end pieces have been broken off. The inner spring hook end has broken off. The metal portion measures 33" (metal to metal).

I have a 32C stamped on the metal body.

Thanks for your help,

Yves

Hey, thanks for posting. I've narrowed this down to two possible channel balance Series: either our Series 351 or our Series 390.

Now, as you can see, the only difference between these two Series is their bottom shoe. The Series 351 uses the 15-002 while the Series 390 uses the 15-001. I can't quite tell what you have based on your pictures, though. Please carefully compare their dimensions to your own hardware and see which is a better match.

It is the Series 351. I have ran a search on your website for the 32C. I think it it has to do with the strength of the spring. Should I put the window on a scale to weigh it?

Yes! That's the best way to determine what option you need. Each length we carry for the Series 351 has a chart of options and how much weight they support. Simply cross-reference your sash weight with that chart.
