Install lock cylinder on existing sliding door

A home owner from Virginia says:
Hi there,

Would it be possible to install a lock cylinder for exterior access through the patio sliding door. Perhaps drilling out the exterior cover and installing this: Sliding-Door-Lock/pd/Patio-Glass-Door-Replacement-Key-Cylinders/82-303

Please see the attached pictures.

Thanks for posting! These pictures are very helpful. Yes, you should be able to drill out your original handle and install a key cylinder. Based on your handle, I would recommend that you consider our 82-310.
A quick learner says:
Great. It's ordered. Hopefully it's a perfect fit!

Thanks for the response.
