Maintaining shiny finish for 40-199

I will be ordering your 40-199 handle set to replace a PELLA handle that has lost its finish,etc on the exterior handle. Is there anything I can do to maintain the shiny finish?

I believe the best thing to do is to clean the brass finish with a mild soap and water. By keeping the hardware clean it will prevent the oxidation from building up and eating away at the finish.

Now, you say your existing handle is tarnished. Have you tried using a brass cleaner? Maybe you can clean up your old handle, then try coating it with a clear lacquer spray. Check with a local hardware store to see what they suggest.
