Measuring for new Window Spring

A home owner from Amarillo Texas says:
I have narrowed down the part down to the length.
I need to get a Series 306 Spiral Balance.
My problem is that the original does not exist, so I need to know how to measure to order the correct balance. Example: top to bottom of window, height of the moving part, etc...

Thanks!

Sure, we should be able to help. Please tell me the total height of the window, the total height of the sash, and finally the total height of the visible glass on that same sash. I would also make sure to confirm that the shoe at the end of the Series 306 is what you need. There are three varieties used.
A quick learner from Amarillo Texas says:
total height of the window: 34 1/2"
total height of the sash: 18"
total height of the visible glass on sash: 15 1/2"

Thank you

Perfect, thank you! I recommend our S306-17 spiral balance based on these measurements. I would just double check to make sure the shoe at the end of yours matches the one that comes with this hardware.
