Milgard window balance replacement

A home owner from USA says:
Please review my Milgard window replacement part for identification and replacement. I believe it is the 27" Series 385 Channel Balance, Product Code: S385-27

Balance measures: 27" x 1/2" with following product number stamped on balance: 26 5 EW CMC 11

Paul from SWISCO responded:
I agree, the S385-27 appears to be a good match. Just make sure your measurements are the same as ours, including those of the nylon attachments on either end. We would also recommend the 2650 option.
A quick learner says:
I was hoping too not leave me up to the final decision..lol That said, you mentioned the 2650 option. Would this actually be the correct option as it appears to correlate with stamped numbers 26 5 EW CMC 11 on the Balance itself?

A quick learner says:
Also, please direct link to me to 2650 option as I all i see is the Series 300's series.

Paul from SWISCO responded:
I think you may be confused. The 2650 option indicates the strength of the balance spring. You choose it when selecting your channel balance, right there on the channel balance store page. I did choose it based on your stamp of "26 5," yes, but you can always weigh your sash to be sure. We have a chart on the S385-27 store page that shows how much weight each option can carry.

The final decision must be up to you, ultimately. I can say that your balance looks similar, but the only way to be 100% sure is to carefully go over the information we show for the S385-27 balance and make sure it matches yours. Keep in mind that your stamp is not a product number. As I mentioned before, all that tells us is how strong the spring is.
