Mounting framed mirror

A handy person from Eau Claire, WI says:
I am wanting to mount a framed mirror that was once mounted to a dresser to a tiled wall for a vanity. What kind of fastener would you recommend? I would prefer not to drill through the front of the frame. Rather, I would like a hidden method. The mirror weighs 22 lbs.
Thanks

Thanks for contacting us. We may be able to help, but let's iron out some of the details. My fist question: is the mirror 1/4" thick? I would not advise installing 1/8" to a wall.

I installed a 1/4" mirror in my bath room a few years back; what I did was use our 10-214 "J" clips on the bottom and the 10-003 to secure the top of the mirror.

Take note that when installing these clips, make sure you are mounting the installation screws for the clips into a wall stud. If not you will need to use some type of wall anchor to secure the mirror to the wall. Some installers use "mirror mastic" to also help with the mounting of the mirror, but if you need to remove the mirror in the future it could be trouble getting it off the wall.
