Need 2 channel balencers

A quick learner from Lawrence Massachusetts 01843 says:
hi first question do you need 2 channel balances on each window? I had taken out lower sash per video, but there are no chann,el balances on either side there was one at one time but it has been misplaced ,I cannot find it . There are no markings or model type . The window is 19 and a half by 28 inches I measured from bottom of the side clip to the top of the hole for the bottom clip hole. That measurement is 21 inches (this measurement is from the window frame channel). Can you tell which Chanel balances that I need to fix this window also on the other .there is no side clip I was wondering if there is only one channel balancer on this window. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Richard

Yes, you usually always want 2 channel balances per window, 1 on each side. Without seeing your old balances, it will be very difficult to know for sure what you have. You may want to check to see if you have an identical window in the house you can use as a reference.

If not, then going by the picture of your sash I think you might have a Seasonall Nuprime window. These have been known to use our Series 390 balance, but there's no guarantee. If you want to go this route, tell me the weight of the sash and the height of the visible glass so that we can calculate the proper size and strength of the balance.
