Outside door lock for Andersen Slider

A quick learner from Hamden, CT says:

can the 80-038 be used on the exterior to secure a slider? if not do you know of any unit that can be used to retrofit and exterior slider door?

Good morning and thank you for submitting yoru photos.

Normally you can get an outside key cylinder so you can unlock the latch from the outside. It goes on the outside of the thumb turn shown in your photos.
