Thanks for posting, Trevor. We highly recommend replacing the entire balance system. Balance springs require very special tools and know-how to replace, in addition to being a high-risk repair due to how much tension they are under. We do not ever recommend attempting to replace the spring by itself or to attempt to restring the pulley. It is far easier, and more cost-effective, to just replace the balance. Start by looking at our S385-21 with a 2040 option.
