Patio Door Handle with broken thumb latch

Just moved into the house and there is no identification to a brand on the door or handle, but there are two pins that it locks on. The thumb latch is what broke.

I have the same exact door handle. I ordered the replacement part you suggested it does not work. Can 82-036 be disassembled in order to use the part second from the left, as shown in the picture?

I'm sorry to hear it didn't work! Yes, actually, that's a good idea. I see no reason why you can't re-use the old locking mechanism, if necessary.
