Hello! To remove the handle from the door, you will first need to pop off the circular Pella logo on the inside handle. That actually obscured the single installation screw that holds it in. Once that screw is out, firmly pull the handle out of the door. You can also watch the video below, which features a different style handle but goes over the same basic method of removal.

Yes! That round Pella logo can be removed, which will expose the screw underneath. |

There is a spring involved, but it's a separate part. Specifically, there's a little metal box built inside the door that contains the spring mechanism. The bad news is that this box cannot be replaced to my knowledge. It's built solidly into the door. If it can be replaced, you will need to contact Pella directly to see if it's something that they can supply to you directly. Otherwise your only option may be to buy a new door (or find an old door you can take it from). |
