Pella Window Latches - Mid 1980s

A handy person from Hockessin, DE says:
Hi! I am working with our church to refurbish about 20 Pella windows from the mid 1980s. Most (if not all) of the latches shown in the photos have gotten loose to the point of unlatching on their own. The exception seems to be a few that have a spring loaded retainer button. Can you supply replacement latches, and, if so, what would the price be? I will also need eight packages of screen retaining plungers, which I have found on your website. Hope you can help. ---- Dana

Hey, Dana. I recognize this lock. It's an older model Pella lock that unfortunately is no longer made. That said, we have found that our 90-213 can work as a replacement. Look it over and see what you think.

I ordered one Model 90-213 described above, and it seems to work fine. You need to enlarge the mortise recess in the lower sash very slightly and drill (or poke) an extra screw hole in the upper sash recess. You also must remove the inner glass pane in that upper sash. I am going to order more to finish the project.
