A quick learner from USA says:
Can you provide a replacement gear for the 1970 pella operator?

Tom from SWISCO responded:
We should be able to help, but only with the complete operator. These gears aren't meant to be replaced by themselves. Now, I can't see your entire operator, so I'm not entirely sure what will match, but see our 39-176 to start out.
A quick learner from tennessee says:
Tom, the 39-176 operator is like mine, minus a broken gear. Please let me know what type of metal
The 39-176 uses for the gear. Steel, aluminum, titanium, or pot metal as the original from 1970s Era like mine. Is it magnetic? Also do you have a recommendations on adjustments to relieve a pella casement/awning that is difficult to close that last bit? Thanks Scott

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:
I believe the gear and link arms are stainless steel, while the base is steel. The arms are not magnetic, but he base is. As for the adjustment you mention, I don't know if there's anything specific you can do. Check the track and hinges to see if any dirt or debris is holding up the operation of the window. If not, then it may be time for new hardware.
