Pivot bar

A quick learner from Chesapeake says:
Hello! Most of my pivot bars are rusted and broken. My windows are not that old and I was wonder if I was getting the correct replacement. I managed to get one out. Do you know how I can remove the rusted broken pivot bars?

Your pin seems to match our 26-040. See what you think. In regards to removing the rusted pivot bars from your sash, this can be very difficult. What I have done in the past was to start with a lubricant like a WD-40 and soak the area for a few hours. If that doesn't help, you might have to end up using a heat gun or hair dryer with "low" heat to try and loosen it up. However I would advice only using this as an absolute last ditch effort. When you use heat, you run the risk of irreparably warping the frame or damaging the glass.
