SWISCO - The Replacement Hardware Authority

Reconditioning a sliding glass door.

A home owner from Burr Ridge, IL (Chicago) says:
I have a 11'5" wide 3 panel door, with screen door. The unit is about 80" tall.
Each panel is 43" wide.

The framework around the door is rotten, and I am going to remove the door, replace the framework and reinstall the door.

I want to replace all the hardware and soft parts while the door is apart.

The screws for the handle have a 4" centerline.

I could use a little advice on the disassembly, especially the side trim covers.

Hey, Mike. We have a large selection of handles you can choose from. To start, take a look at our 82-020, 82-031 or 82-035. As for removing the main frame, if is normally held in place with screws along the top, bottom, and sides. You will need to remove the trim and doors from the frame to access the mounting screws.
