Remove Sliding Door Track Cover

A professional from Somonauk says:
I recently purchased a sliding door track cover, item 80-102. Do you have any tips on removing the old one?

The videos from your Youtube "How to install a sliding glass door track cover" and "How to Replace a Sliding Glass Door Track" did not help. The threshold that my track cover is connected to is plastic. I am trying to figure out how to remove the old track cover. I tried putting a small pry bar under it to pry it off but it seems to be secure an does not want to move.

Your old track cover might have been sealed to the plastic runner, which means it might not come off without damaging the track. Heat might soften the seal to let you remove it. Try your hair dryer on high and see it it works on one end of the track. Just be careful, you don't want to permanently warp the track.
