Replacement balances for a non-tilt Fiberlux window

A quick learner says:
Hi -

I have a non-tilt Fiberlux window that does not stay up. I have pictures and measurements of the channel balance as follows

1/2" wide - 22" long - Item No. 21 3 or C (not sure - pls see picture below)

I have seen many videos, but there isn't one out there that shows how to replace the balance on a non-tilt window. Our double hung windows do not come out or tilt. Thus, I will need instructions to replace the channel balance - written or via video or orally.

Thank you.
Dolly

Hey, Dolly. We should be able to help you out. Before I can recommend a replacement balance for you, though, I just need you to confirm what that bottom shoe is. I think it's between our 15-004 and 15-005, but I'm not sure which. Check out the diagram below and tell me which is a better match.
15-004 and 15-005

We do have a video on how to replace non-tilt window channel balances. You may have missed it. Check it out below.

Mike - Thank you. I am not home, but I will take a printout of your email and measure the shoe and revert back to you tomorrow.
I understand from the video that the bottom portion of the window comes out to insert the hook in the hole. Also - when I removed the old balance - it was in perfect shape - not sure why the window was not staying up - probably got unhooked. Will be back to you tomorrow AM. Thanks again. Dolly

Thanks, Dolly, let me know when you determine the size of the shoe.

Pls note new email. Also, I took two measurements and not the bottom width. I'm pretty sure it is 1" (15-005), but will have to make sure (measure twice cut once). Sorry will have to try again tonight. Thanks Tom.

1 inch. Any other questions? Thx Dolly

No, that's all we need to know! Since you have a 19-002 top attachment and a 15-001 bottom attachment, there is no standard combination on our site that matches. Your balance will have to be custom made.

Take a look at this Custom Channel Balance Order Form that I have started for you based on your specifications and review the information. If it's correct, fill out and submit the rest of the form and one of our representatives will get back to you with a price quote.
