Replacement patio door parts

A contractor says:
Which lock/handle do you recommend to replace this lock in which someone enlarged the opening incorrectly. I am able to enlarge the lock opening slightly to get a larger lock to fit.

Thanks, Larry

What I would do to fix this issue would be to use either the 82-226 or 82-227, which both have longer face plates that you could mount to the door. The 82-227 might be a better choice because the mounting holes in the plate are further away from the damaged cut out. You might need to use a small molly bolt to secure the lock. You might also need to use a lower striker like the 89-021 to make up the difference with the exterior mounted face plate.
