Replacement sliding door lock

A quick learner from USA says:
I have a sliding glass door lock that is malfunctioning. When I lock the door to leave, the security lever jumps over to the locked position which makes it impossible to unlock. One part of the lock is stamped DNS Ind Miami Fla the inside part shows 16 inside pull standard dns ind 16. The outside with lock is stamped outside 13/23. I saw on line that someone else wanted a replacement for same lock in 2013 and two parts were mentioned (82-002 and 82-008K). I could not tell if the part was correct.

I think the 82-002 may be what you want. The main difference between these two handles is that the 82-002 locking hook is closer to the bottom of the handle while the 82-008K hook is in the middle of the handle. Take note that you might not need to replace your handle. You might just need to adjust the keeper in the door jamb, or adjust the rollers to make the lock work correctly.
