Replacing Vent Pin on Awning Window

A home owner from Florida says:
I have a few broken vent pins (36-016) on my 50 year old windows. It appears that the pins were peened in place. Once I remove the broken pins how should I secure the new pins?

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:
I believe the 36-016 is pinned into the frame with a type of center punch.
