Replacing a aluminum storefront offset pivot.

A handy person from California says:
The lower pivot looks a lot like the 79-097 left hand . It is about 50 years old and the door is dragging on the threshold. What is the "Recess" I see some models show flush, some show 1/8" some show 3/32" recess? 2nd question. Could the old pivot just need a new bearing ?

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:
Door manufactures have their own "recesses" and pivot styles. You ask about a new bearing, best is to replace the pivot than trying to locate a bearing to fit your pivot. In some cases you might be able to adjust the lower pivot with a open end wrench to raise the bottom of the door off the threshold. However, with your door being 50 years old the pivot adjustment could be corroded and frozen. Send us few photos of your pivot and door. That way we can help you identifying the pivot you need for your door. Also, if you haven't already, take a look at the related video
